In conjunction with our programming and 3D, vehicle and weapon assignments, we are creating a battle arena level to test out our vehicles, and make a final, fully functioning, vehicle combat game. My main theme will be medieval sci-fi, so I will be greyboxing large castle towers with futuristic metal accents. The plan for the defining feature is a large, stone lion head (Kitbashed, perhaps modeled if time allows), with two pillars of lava coming down from each side of the mouth. This will run down and create some environmental hazards in on the floor. Another smaller defining feature will be massive towers in between each (or some) of the players, with automated turrets for more environmental dangers. The basic design will be a nonagon, since there will be eight players max (might change), and one side will be dedicated to the lion head environmental hazard.

Level Layout Draft

Draw Bridge System

Spawn Point (Provides 15% health every 2 minutes)

Shifting arena

Weapon, shield, and health pickup

Turret and shield system

Basic color palette, though these will be mostly accents, as most of the map will be grayscale with orange hues as my theme.

The main mechanic of my arena is risk-reward, meaning that to survive, players will decide what is more important to them ( a pickup, surviving enemy fire, etc.) to survive.
